Welcome to RENACE.

The Ecovillage Colombian Network (Red Colombiana de Ecoaldeas) connects today 17 ecovillages and alternative human settlements in Colombia. RENACE is a national network of communities and live spaces which aim to promote, educate, research and promulgate living styles that are sustainable and foster Earth regeneration.

Since its foundation in 2006, each year RENACE Colombia convenes people from around the world to the national ecovillage gathering named Call of the Mountain - Council of Visions (Llamado de la Montaña – Consejo de Visiones). The Call of the Mountain is inspired in the Counsil of Visions gathering first holded in Mexico more than 15 years ago. It is basically a pedagogical approach to articulate a social movement open for everyone who wants to join.		For the first quarter of 2013, RENACE brings to Colombia the EDE -Education for Ecovillage Design- certified by GAIA Education. GAIA Education is also an educational model raised to the level of oficial contribution to the UN Decade of Education for SustainableDevelopment (2005-2014) and it is model approved by UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research)
